I'm not technical AT ALL - I'll need help with every single thing to do with this - is this package right for me?
Yep! It’s perfect for you. The reason to use the package, is so that you can have all of the benefits of access to a professional website, without having to have any of the knowledge, OR spend time on it yourself! We’ll guide you every step of the way, and if you need anything, you can call a human at 5X Design, it’s our pleasure!
What are the upfront costs?
The upfront costs will be listed above, within this product page – we have a FANTASTIC offer on currently with big reductions, meaning you can get started with your beautiful new website for even less!!
So domain setup is included? But not the cost to buy a domain?
Yes exactly. Whether you’ve already got your own domain or you need help to buy one, we’ll take care of the setup. We don’t buy the domain – a domain can be a valuable asset, especially as your business grows, you should buy it and retain ownership of it under your own account.
We can secure your chosen domain for you for a small annual fee, domain distributors’ prices fluctuate so please ask us to check at booking point.
Why isn't my domain cost included also?
It’s not feasible to offer a package to include domain purchase costs, since domains can vary so significantly in price. One must pay a fee annually to one’s domain distributor to retain a domain – with costs sometimes varying by hundreds (if not thousands, for premium domains) – to include it in a package isn’t workable.
However the domain management is included in your package with 5X – which includes transferring your domain between hosts if required, deploying nameserver data to point your domain to your new website, ensuring your domain is set up properly, all included.
The good news is, if you need to buy a domain to get started, and you don’t have a requirement for a premium domain, it’s a reasonably cheap one-off annual fee.
Do I own my domain, and website?
Domain – Yes, you always own your domain. If you don’t already own a domain don’t worry, you need one to get started, but we’ll guide you through the one-off purchase of it step-by-step. We prefer you to hold your domain independently in your own account with the domain distributor.
Website – Yes, you do at the end of your payment contract period. This contract clause is necessary to protect our business and ensure we’re paid fairly as per contract, for the work we do.
How long do I have to wait for my website?
It depends upon the type of website, and how quickly we receive any materials we’ve agreed upon for your site. The contract will most often say three – four weeks, but we can usually get a site done for you within as little as a couple of weeks, often even sooner than that. If you request add ons, it depends on the complexity. We’re a pretty efficient bunch though, and we’re always keen to help where we can, so talk to us about your timeline if it’s pressing, and we’ll see what we can do.
Can I make changes to my website?
Certainly! A ‘Plus’ package can make changes every month – you may need to update offers, or add events or deals, etc.
Does it cost extra money to make changes?
If you need to do more than is included in your package, don’t worry – we’ll always assist! We may be required to make a small charge for our time, but we always do our best to look after our customers, so we’ll help where we can.
If it’s necessary to invoice you for time spent on changes, (this is calculated on a case-by-case basis once we understand what you would like to do), your quote will be issued very promptly for you, and as a ‘5X Monthly Payment Website Package’ customer, you will benefit from a special 20% DISCOUNT on our regular rates!!
Example of something additional we wouldn’t charge for: “Can you delete that flyer in my album? That annual offer has ended”.
Example of something additional we would need to charge for: “We are redecorating and I would like to replace all of the photos on the website that show the interior….”
For larger works, such as adding key functionality like the facility to accept restaurant or hotel bookings, or sell your products – once we understand your exact needs (we’ll guide you through what we need to know), we will provide a prompt quote. In this case also, as a ‘5X Monthly Payment Website Package’ customer, you will benefit from a special 20% DISCOUNT on our regular rates!
What's the 'Extended Security Protection Pack'?
These are additional measures to beef up your site protection! Combined with your SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) security certficate, and the built-in security features of our market-leading hosting, security is about as good as it gets!
If you’ve ever run a site before you know it’s a minefield out there in terms of spam and bots – and also that it’s simply not possible to 100% guarantee prevention, that’s just the nature of the beast. The art is in using reporting and site management and maintenance to manage any indication of attempts immediately, for example the site admin should never be named ‘admin’; IP addresses that seek to login using user names like ‘admin’ should then be automatically blocked.

I want my site up now - but what if I haven't got much in the way of content for my website?
You don’t need to have compiled a load of content to create your website don’t worry! With the impactful and engaging visuals, navigation, graphics and content, even a simple professionally built website comes across as substantial and polished.
We’ll make the process of gathering / creating any required image or text-based assets very easy, and we’ll be here to guide you every step of the way.
Can I upgrade my website further, as my business develops?
Absolutely! If you decide to begin with a ‘Starter’ or ‘Plus’ account, you can either choose another package, from our carefully tailored options, if it offers what you need – or we can schedule a call and chat through what you need, pinpoint the best, most cost-effective options for you, and decide how to proceed then.
I don't have professional quality logos, can you help?
Certainly! We offer logo design as a service, and a professional logo set is a requirement to be able to produce your website. If you need logos, simply select that when you book your setup package – PLUS you get a 20% discount on our usual rates when you’re a 5X Monthly Payment Website Package customer!
Will my website be a mobile friendly site?
Absolutely. All of 5X’s websites are produced to be mobile friendly.
Can I choose my email addresses?
Certainly yes, for example you may prefer ‘hi@yourdomain.com’ instead of ‘info@yourdomain.com’ – you can choose.
Can you forward my new website emails to another account?
Absolutely, yes we can. As a ‘Plus’ customer this is included

How long does my package last?
It’s a rolling annual contract, with a minimum length of three months duration, after which you can discontinue the agreement with one month’s advance notice.
